I had asked my friend Cheryl from Website in a Day if she could help me with my SEO as with most websitey stuff I am pretty hopeless! We met up a couple of times in the Coral Room at The Bloomsbury Hotel to go through my copy and the dashboard of my WordPress site to see where my text could be enhanced. She told me it can take up to 3-6 months for any changes to make a difference. However, within a week I started to see so many more enquiries for my headshots and personal branding photography services and one of those was from Sanjay.

Sanjay had recently started his business CloudKontrol and because he is gifted technically he thought that a photographer wasn’t needed as he could do the imagery himself with a green screen. Although the images were ok, he realised that this was something that he couldn’t do on his own. I was contacted and given the brief of what the images were for and we decided on a date and location. I suggested the riverside in Kingston upon Thames as I knew certain places which were great for headshots particularly if the weather was going to be unpredictable.
I sent through the “What to wear” guide which gives advice on clothing, colours and grooming – not that he needed it!
Sanjay had 3 changes of clothes but we started with the formal images to be used on the website. I am a big fan of just and open shirt and with a smart well fitting jacket and as you can see he looks very presidential.
For these images I made use of columns, reflections and shallow depth of field and my trusty Canon 85mm 1.2 lens.
After I had completed the more formal imagery we wandered along the river Thames until we reached Woodys to have a quick flat white. Sanjay had a couple of changes of clothes for the less formal images that could be used for the website but also Facebook.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sanjay and was very grateful for the testimonial below.

I hired Annie to do a lifestyle shoot which I could use for my business and for social media. I was dreading the session as posing for the camera was not something I was comfortable with but when I met Annie in Kingston, she immediately put me at ease. We then spent a rather pleasant 2 hours walking around Kingston taking photos.
Annie’s eye is absolutely incredible and she was able to capture some amazing shots of me against really visually artistic backgrounds. I had a change of clothing and she had arranged for us to use a coffee shop close by for some casual shots. It was a fabulous experience, with an incredibly talented, warm and friendly artist and I was overjoyed with the outcome. Thank you Annie!
