Family photography session Wimbledon London SW19
Saturdays are busy days for me as I usually have two photography shoots. One is the Family at Home photography session which takes place on as Saturday morning and the afternoon photography session is a Portraits in the Park (see here for an example of a Portraits in the Park session). ย I want to share with you thisย Family photography session Wimbledon London SW19. With spring on its wayย I was reminded of this lovely shoot that I hadn’t shared.
First part of the shoot – Wimbledon Common
With the Family at home photography session I usually suggest with younger children that we stay in the home and garden but with older children a two stage shoot is wonderful as I do come away with a wealth of images. ย This photography shoot started on Wimbledon Common and as you can see it was a glorious sunny morning with the sun streaming through the trees.
I did some family group shots as well as individual portraits but really wanted to focus on the relationships between the different members of the family. ย I was very pleased that the parents wanted photographs taken of themselves too as from experience some parents can be reluctant. ย It is important that in the years to come that children have pictures of their parents and as a family together. ย On this shoot there was also focus on the children and their relationships with one another.
As most people know I am dog owner and have two naughty Border terriers so I was certainly in my element on this photography shook with the two Cocker spaniels and they really added to the shoot. ย It was so funny to be lying on the ground calling them so I could have a shot of them in the foreground running towards me with the boys out of focus in the background. ย We did this a number of times and I got very muddy and grateful for my Drizabone coat.
Family photography at the home
After we had spent around 45 minutes on Wimbledon Common we then made our way back to the home. I love to do doorstep shots. ย The reason for this is that it pin points a time in a family’s lives that theyย can look back at. ย My whole job is toย createย memories.
After a cup of coffee, we are all ready to finish the shoot which entailed portraits of the boys and images of the mother with her daughters. ย The house is incredibly beautiful with great style and design and I made sure that the details were also photographed to tell the story of the shoot.
Product
As part of the service that I give I have a viewing consultant go to a client’s home a few days after the shoot and this enables my clients to see the beautiful aspirational products that I can source for them. This family bought a Rossini album and mini albums of which an example can be seen here.
