Family shoot by the river at Canbury Gardens in Kingston
On this wintry, sleety day what more can you ask for is to remember what it was like to be warmer outside. ย It won’t be long before the daffodils will be poking their heads above ground and the clocks will be put forward to embrace spring! ย In the meantime I have many photography sessions with wonderful clients to share and here we go to start off is to talk to you about this family shoot by the river at Canbury Gardens in Kingston. ย
You may have seen that I have been working with a few nurseries in the Kingston area now over the last 4 years and it has been fabulous to return and see the children grow up and each time I go they remember me! The times I have been told by local mums that my images are all over Kingston because of the nursery photography service which is so lovely. ย So now I am finding that I am being commissioned more and more by families whose children I have photographed already and this is how I know Louisa and Rowan and the gorgeous Leo.
Louisa booked a “Portraits in the Park” session with me for early October and because they loved Canbury Gardens as it is one of their favourite places to go with Leo. ย We were so blessed with the weather that day, it was late afternoon and the leaves off the trees were all crunchy and we all had a great time!
Leo had brought his bunnies with him and the group shot that I did was the best one ever! ย He came running to me and launching himself into me then running back to mummy & daddy! Oh we all laughed! ย Leo is a happy chappy and just the thought of him clinging onto his bunnies brings a smile to my face…..
Right at the end of the shoot I said it was a wrap! ย And then little Leo had his hood up looking like a little pixie looking for squirrels and I couldn’t stop with the camera to take more frames!

Louisa and Rowan love photography and it was a real compliment to me knowing how creative they are that they loved the shoot! ย They have amazing black and white framed prints of their wedding in their sitting room (the grown up room) and now in the family room next to the kitchen they have a 40″ wide black and white edge print of the family shot and the squirrel shot (Leo looking for squirrels) as a smaller edge print for the alcove in black and white again.It was great working them as a family and I know how much the images mean to them in their home being seen everyday. ย Looking very much forward to working with them in the future as they are very happy, positive people to be around!
