Family lifestyle photography in Kew, Richmond
I am shocked! Horrified! That I hadn’t actually documented this wonderful photography session in this journal! I had every intention to as I had already uploaded these images to my business page on Facebook. So here we have it, my lovely Family lifestyle photography in Kew, Richmond.So here we are! One of my favourite sessions from 2012! Let me introduce you to Carolyn, Paul, Hannah, Josh and Ella and of course Poppy the dog!
Working with Carolyn has been a delight – such a wonderfully welcoming person and was really made to feel part of the family very quickly.
Carolyn booked early last year (as people are doing now) for August and I can’t believe how quickly the year went and before we knew it August was upon us!
For my family lifestyle photography I try to always visit my families so that I am not a stranger on the day. It is all part of the service and when I first started my business it was actually for me to gain confidence but in fact in recent years it is all about the client and I know that they appreciate the visit so that on the day of the shoot it is “Annie” coming to visit and not “the photographer”.
The session is usually in two parts:- one is at home and the other out and about. At the pre-shoot visit we had decided to start outside first of all and we were so blessed that we did this as later on the heavens opened. This is the beautiful Hannah above who is the eldest of the children.
This is Josh and I just love these images of him in the long grass and laughing by the tree.
The ones below are of Ella picking wild flowers in the grass.
and of course I can’t forgot a very important member of the family – Poppy!
The second part of the shoot took place at their home in Kew and I photographed individual portraits of the children particularly with their musical instruments.
and also of the family just being together! Lovely image of Ella with Poppy!
Also, here are some details shots around their beautiful house! The side extension is very modern but it really compliments the iron work in the overhanging porch over looking the garden.
The final view is focussing on the lilies but getting the family in the background.
The family bought a 16″ x 12″ lifestyle album and edge prints of the portraits in black and white going up the stairs as well as the above montage of the fingers on musical instruments which look amazing! With all that they ordered from me they had the DVD of images complimentary.
I am busily getting booked up at the weekend for my family lifestyle sessions. These always take place on a morning and presently the next available weekend date is the end of June so I am really saying to potential clients to book soon as I have already taken bookings for August and September.
My “Portraits in the Park” sessions take place in the afternoon (unless it is a weekday) and I still have plenty of availability for this year.
