I can’t believe that it is over 12 years now since I have been running my Business Photo Portrait Morning at Warren House in Kingston upon Thames.
They started when my Kingston Athena group once met on a Tuesday lunchtime at the House and my networking friends started to ask me if I could do a quick headshot before the meeting. I asked the general manager at the time whether this would be ok to offer to others who are looking for a simple solution for a new LinkedIn profile picture or for someone who just needs an updated headshot and the rest is history. I have lost count of how many people I have photographed but each session is different from the last.
I usually find that these sessions are a good starting point for individuals who are setting up businesses and haven’t the financial resources to have a full brand shoot but know that a professional portrait is certainly beneficial to have a face behind the business. Also, I have entrepreneurs with established businesses just wanting a quick update.
The shoot itself is either a 15 or 30 minute block of time and included in the price is a quick Zoom to discuss what to wear as well as what to wear guide.
Floss Gibbs in the image montage above had a wonderful shoot on a Warren House session. Her business is Floss Gibbs and she’s is a creative brand and graphic designer and I first met her through Athena networking in South West London.
Featured entrepreneurs – Lorraine Thomas – View from my window

I have known Lorraine Thomas for a few years now with us being first connected via Sistersnog which is a business club connecting remarkable women.
Lorraine is an award winning property mentor and developer and one of THE most loveliest women I know. I asked her to give a few words about her journey into the property world.
โIโm a big believer in doing what I can to help lift others. On a mission to be a positive role model for young black people, Iโm showing them what can be achieved if you are determined. Starting out I had zero property experience, didnโt come from a wealthy background, or have connections. Yet now Iโm an award-winning property entrepreneur with a portfolio of properties housing those who are disadvantaged and an ambitious development just round the corner from my old school in Croydon โ and I couldnโt be prouder.โ
During my headshot morning at Warren House, I photographed Lorraine as she was in need of an imagery update and we had a wonderful time during the shoot. Laughter was involved, which is exactly how I like my shoots to go, as it ensures my clients are comfortable and at ease.
