With  Valentine’s Day almost upon us and with all the talk in my last journal post about the joint promotion with The Pottery I thought that it would be a good idea to show what I do on a couple photography session.

I gave up weddings nearly 2 years ago now, only because I found them incredibly stressful and very time consuming!  But I miss the engagement shoots and the couple shots on the wedding day, the wedding details….. so I have a new offering! Hurrah! Another one!  I know I have been a busy bee..

There are many couples out there who have been together a while and don’t intend to get married, they might have children, they might not.  So along the theme of my Urban Teenage photography shoots I thought that it would be a great idea to do some funky portraits of couples in the same environment by the river in Kingston.

It is the same booking fee of £150 for two people for an hour with a selection of different areas around the outskirts of the Kingston city centre itself.

The First 7!

The photography shoot that I did with Kristen and Jerry took place in Richmond upon Thames  was under my “Lifestyle photography shoot” as we spent the whole morning, this is an option if you wanted more time and the booking fee for this is £290 for upto 3 hours but this shoot inspired me to offer a 1 hour session in Kingston.

Kristen and Jerry contacted me as they wanted to celebrate 7 years of being together and because they originally come from the USA they wanted to make sure that very British details and the beauty of Richmond as it was all about creating memories for them.

I generally visit my lifestyle clients before the shoot for two reasons:-

1    I am then not  a stranger on the day.

2   I find that I can get a view of light in the home and we can work quickly to put down a plan of how the photography session is going to go forward on the day.  It is always great to have a plan as at least I know then that if all goes out of the window and we do something else we had some type of framework to work to in the beginining.

While I had my time with Kristen and Jerry we walked through the beautiful private gardens of the their appartment by the river.  I was staggered by the lawns, fountains and these immense trees.  We walked along the river and then back to Richmond Green where there was just a carpet of leaves with glorious reds, yellows, browns – so wonderful!

I spent time thinking of what I would want to create a memory of living in Richmond with the typical English Post boxes, the Telephone box, Georgian architecture and the vastness of Richmond Green itself.

Anyway, I loved working with them and as Kristen has a talented eye for photography herself it was an honour to be asked by them to photograph them

They were thrilled with what I did for them and bought a 14×10 inch album from my Rossini range.

I don’t know how long they will stay here but I know that what I produced for them will be treasured for many years to come…..
